The compositions of the crystalline phases as a function of\u00a0x\u00a0were determined by X-ray powder diffraction using a Rietveld refinement. The relationship between composition and structure was covered. This showed that LaMn1\u00a0\u2212\u00a0xFexO3\u00a0+\u00a0\u03b4\u00a0exists with the rhombohedral structure (R-3c, 167) only below\u00a0x\u00a0=\u00a00.3 and with the orthorhombic structure (Pnma, 62) over\u00a0x\u00a0=\u00a00.7.
