This\u00a0review\u00a0focuseson conventional methods for preparing\u00a0nanofluids\u00a0along with techniquesto improve their stability and enhance the\u00a0CO2\u00a0absorptionand desorption mechanisms. Additionally, the influences\u00a0of\u00a0factors,i.e., nanoparticle and base solution types as well as nanoparticleconcentration, on the\u00a0CO2\u00a0absorption\u00a0process are summarized.Furthermore, models that can predict the\u00a0absorption\u00a0of\u00a0CO2\u00a0accurately are outlined. It is found that the types\u00a0of\u00a0both baseliquids and nanoparticles have an important impact on the absorptionby\u00a0nanofluids. In-depth studies on the predictive capabilities ofartificial intelligence (AI) models hold immense potential in thisregard. This\u00a0review\u00a0also puts forth effective strategies to addressprevailing challenges. This will provide a solid theoretical basisfor this field and underscore the promising potential\u00a0of\u00a0nanofluidsas\u00a0CO2\u00a0solvents.
